Course Description: The researchers' goal was to evaluate the latent structure of secondary traumatic stress (STS), its predecessor, and the service providers' emotional and mental effect on refugees going through the Balkan. The researchers evaluated 270 participants utilizing the Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale to assess STS, depression, anxiety, and life quality. The extent of various and specific traumatic experiences positively correlated with STS. The study benefits skilled professionals in understanding the vulnerabilities of STS and other psychological distress that providers experience working with traumatized people.

Learning Objectives:

2. Evaluate two tables used to present data and identify two key findings from the presented research.
3. Identify two limitations of the presented study and consider those limitations in the context of future research in this area.
