Course Description: March 2020 signified a significant change in the lives of the entire Italian population with the COVID-19 lockdown. COVID created psychological, moral, social, and economic problems throughout the world. The researchers examined people's moral decision-making during the pandemic. The researchers conducted two studies by using the first study to provide information for the second study. The researchers examined the moral decision-making, stress perception level, and mentalizing ability of university students, front-line and second-line workers during phase one of the lockdown. In contrast, phase two compared the results of the participants to healthcare providers and public safety personnel. Front-line workers support pragmatic solutions for the good of all. Healthcare providers were more stressed and emotionally involved. The study benefits skilled professionals working with front-line workers and health care professionals to prevent distress and mental health issues.
