Course Description: Psychopharmacological treatment approaches are commonly implemented to mitigate the frequency and severity of mental illness symptom presentation. An examination of psychotropic drug withdrawal symptoms, and the resultant impact of holistic treatment modalities, was commenced in the accompanying study. A three-pronged treatment approach consisting of dietary modification, detoxification, and mindfulness was employed. Complementary treatment approaches were associated with continued psychiatric condition remission and reduced acute withdrawal symptom presentation. Holistic treatment interventions functioned as a sustainable alternative to long-term psychotropic treatment. These findings were indicative of the identified benefits attributed to holistic and conventional treatment approach integration for patients tapering off psychotropic medication.
