Course Description: Suicide is a major public health concern that has devastating long-term effects on both families and communities. It is the second leading cause of death among youth in Canada. Risk factors and features of suicidality in youth are different than those found in adults, hence the need to determine potential risk factors as well as develop decision-support tools to identify younger people at greater risk. Thus, the current study aimed to develop and evaluate a methodology for identifying youth at heightened risk for self-harm.

- Identify at least 4 risk factors associated with self-harm and suicidality among youth
- Integrate the 3 study limitations with the identified areas of future research
