Course Description: Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) is a common psychiatric disorder that is associated with various impairments to everyday life. Specifically, individuals with SAD exhibit substantial difficulties in developing and maintaining romantic relationships. The current study investigates initial, opposite-sex interactions of individuals with SAD and their partners. The researchers focus on social context and momentary social anxiety during the exchange, as well as participants’ desire for future interaction.
