Course Description: First, a brief summary of telehealth, using telehealth in the behavioral health field, and barriers in using this method of treatment is presented. Then an overview of ways to address accessibility barriers in telehealth is discussed and additional challenges related to implementing telehealth services, especially in rural areas, are examined. Finally, suggestions for various professionals who influence mental health in their communities are provided with various behavioral health information, resources, and steps to promote telehealth in rural communities is presented.
