Course Description: Adolescents who engage in underage drinking, particularly binge-drinking, evidence a greater tendency to drink and drive, partake in risky sexual behavior, and engage in self-injurious behavior in comparison to their alcohol-abstinent peers. Members of Congress enacted the Sober Truth on Preventing (STOP) Underage Drinking Act to mitigate the negative consequences associated with underage drinking.
