It is the third article in a series geared to placing a focus on LGBT affirming policies and practices including resources. Positive psychology is first defined and introduced, then discussion is provided in a framework approach for application and integration into clinical trainings and practice in working with LGBT individuals. The course is structured by education, examples, and then a foundation of how to use this strengths-based approach in clinical settings and organizations including recommendations for implementation and a discussion of common challenges.

Learning Objectives:

● Describe principles of positive psychology in application with LGBT clients.

● Recognize steps of how to incorporate principles of positive psychology into practice.

● Apply strength-based ideas to trainings and practice for clinicians. 

Course Format:  Course materials can be downloaded or read online. To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete an online multiple-choice post-test with a score of 75% or better and complete an online course evaluation.
