A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) applies the principles of behaviorism to design and implement behavior change programs for individuals with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. BCBAs use assessment and data-based methods to identify specific behavior goals and develop plans to increase desired behaviors and decrease problematic behaviors. They may also provide supervision and support to other behavioral interventionists, such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapists. BCBAs typically work in settings such as schools, healthcare facilities, rehabilitation centers, and private practices.
